Technology for better treatment of municipal solid waste
Minister of Science, Lino Barañao signed an agreement with the president of CEAMSE, Javier Coria, to promote jointly capabilities and innovative methodologies to provide technical assistance in environmental matters.
In order to generate an inter-sectoral gap and make available technical assistance resources, Minister of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation Lino Barañao this afternoon initialed an agreement for technical cooperation with President of CEAMSE, Javier Coria. The document expressed the willingness of the parties to create a relational framework for design and implementation of projects valuing the new knowledge concerning the care of the environment.
In this regard, one of the initiatives that will be launched will be a project of technology watch on trends in technology and techniques for the treatment of municipal solid waste. This study will be led by the National Programme for Technology Watch and Competitive Intelligence (VINTEC) belonging to the undersecretary of Studies and Planning of the portfolio of Science and will last approximately three months.
In this respect, Barañao minister said: "This is one of the problems that humankind will face in the future, how to make proper use of waste. From the ministry we are committed to providing the necessary tools for these developments and to encourage any of these sub products to be able to re-enter the system through technology ".
Particularly, the project promoted by the VINTEC program will seek to create room for encountering and exchanging best practices, experiences and theories on technology management and innovation, strengthening the strategic capacity of the Ministry and CEAMSE, based on the use and learning of surveillance applications and intelligence in its scientific, technological, business, competitive and regulatory aspects. The study was done using the platform Antena Tecnológica (Antenna Technology) and the methodological guidelines proposed by the Guía Nacional de Vigilancia e Inteligencia Estratégica (National Monitoring Guide and Strategic Intelligence).
Through Technological Antenna new dynamics of work that complement and strengthen the development of the National System of Science, Technology and Innovation, decrease levels of uncertainty, risk and complexity of innovation processes are being created.
Mainly, Technological Antenna is a tool that allows users to access to products and services such as electronic news bulletins with content related to commercial, regulatory and legislative global technological, scientific, news and funding opportunities, as well as to a library of relevant documents and annual panoramic studies.
