This morning, a training course was given to territorial units about the "Use of technological surveillance and intelligence tools as strategic tools for the design and implementation of territorial systems at national level." This opening event was presided by the Under Secretary of Studies and Prospective, Mr. Jorge Robbio, who welcomed the attendants and thanked them for the effort and work performed.

“We are interested in contacting different provinces with similar interests and initiatives.During this event, we are interested in listening to you, strengthening our bonds, learning about your ongoing progress and making a survey of your expectations”, concluded Robbio.

“We are interested in contacting different provinces with similar interests and initiatives.During this event, we are interested in listening to you, strengthening our bonds, learning about your ongoing progress and making a survey of your expectations”, concluded Robbio.

The purpose of this event was to train members of Territorial Units for technological surveillance and intelligence in Entre Rios, Santa Fe, Mendoza, and the Argentine Northwest, aiming at the implementation of a set of methods, guidelines, and resources designed to gather and analyse information. Furthermore, we sought to create and disseminate technological surveillance products and services used as supplies for making decisions later by the territory authorities and players. Such workshop also strengthened the networking of units, as it allowed them to share experiences and alliances made with other institutions and new strategic sectors.

The activity is within the frame of the Technological Antenna Pilot Project for the dissemination of activities and services of the National Programme of Technological Surveillance and Competitive Intelligence – VINTEC, coordinated by the Secretariat of Studies and Prospective, of the Department of Planning and Policy of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation. This programme is as a result of the Framework Agreement signed between this Ministry and the Argentine Industrial Union, and it is aimed at raising awareness and disseminating good practices on Technological Surveillance and Competitive Intelligence, as well as the transfer of knowledge on typical related instruments in this matter, and it provides an opportunity for consolidating alliances with other existing institutions and development programmes.

Technological supervision is a process that identifies relevant information about trends, news from customers, inventions, and potential partners and competitors. Such data are coded and analysed and provide an opportunity for designing and planning technological strategies, minimizing context uncertainty. On a supplementary basis, intelligence deals with the analysis, management of information, assessment and management of processes involving strategic decisions within companies and entities, integrating systems designed for technological supervision, business, competitors and environments, among others.  Therefore, activities of this type are intended to improve competitiveness of companies and economic sectors, by reducing the levels of risk and the complexity existing in innovation processes, encouraging the creation of solid bases for establishing sustainable competitive behaviours.
