The third edition of the innovation congress was attended by the president of the National Agency for Science and Technology, Fernando Goldbaum, who gave a presentation before a packed auditorium.

The President of the Agency, Fernando Goldbaum, responded questions asked by the participants attending the innovation meeting in the city of Cordoba.

The president of the National Agency for Science and Technology Promotion, an agency from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation, Fernando Goldbaum, participated in the opening ceremony of the "3rd Innovation Congress of Cordoba - INNOVACOR 2014”. The event also featured the words of the provincial Minister of Industry, Trade, Mining and Scientific Technological Development, Martin Llaryora and the president of the Unidad de Vinculación Tecnológica Córdoba (UVITEC), Marcelo Olmedo. The event, organized by the UVITEC, was about the development of technological innovation in the provincial private sector.

Goldbaum: "we are working hard to ensure that public institutions acquire the plasticity necessary to run at the pace of industry and technology needs of the market".

During his speech, Goldbaum referred to research activities carried out in the province and said that "we are making a great effort to orient this research to the solution of technological problems". The head of the agency also expressed his intention to "create technological centers in all corners of the country to begin to speak the same language between the industry sector, the scientific sector and the State" and he noted as one of the main advantages of Argentina "the quality of human resources that make it possible to think of effective and efficient coordination between science, innovation and vibrant private groups".

After the first talk about the progress of innovation activities in Chile, the “Preguntados” panel was performed, Goldbaum participated again, along with other authorities, and attendees had the opportunity to discuss possibilities of linking between institutions of the academic, scientific-technological and business sector institutions. During the debate, Goldbaum said that "innovation requires leaving the comfort zone and face new challenges" and he identified the public-private articulation as management shaft. He also said that "we should create a critical mass of technological managers with knowledge of the best of the two worlds, the scientific and the business, to pursue innovative projects. Finally, Goldbaum said: "We are working hard to ensure that public institutions acquire the plasticity necessary to run at the pace of industry and technology needs of the market".

The programme was completed as scheduled with three lectures by specialists in innovation and presentation of successful cases of Argentine companies with the aim of promoting a space trigger of new tools to apply innovation and creativity in the integration of production processes and services.
