For the first time a committee of scientists will advise the Agency

Its members are researchers who contribute their concerns related to management in assessment processes. The committee was completed with the addition of scientists at the federal level and in different areas of knowledge.

For the first time a committee of scientists will advise the Agency

On the initiative of the president of the National Agency for Science and Technology Promotion, an agency from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation, Fernando Goldbaum, the first advisory committee of experts was created to provide advice on issues related to management assessment processes in that institution. It is composed of renowned scientists, outstanding for their research, management and academic activities in the institutions where they work. The purpose of the committee is to channel concerns and proposals from the scientific community about assessment processes. Its contribution will be pro bono and its opinions are non-binding.

The Agency seeks to modernize its decision-making processes opening the spectrum to the opinion of the scientific community, main beneficiary of the agency's policies.

In this regard, Goldbaum explained that "the function of this committee is to advise the president on the general procedures and evaluation mechanisms usually applied in the various funds of the Agency, without going deeper in the specific criteria of each line, commission or discipline. The creation of this committee with the purpose of improving the assessment mechanisms constitutes one more measure taken by the body to listen opinions from the scientific community, which surely will be consolidated and improved in the future".

Thus, the Agency seeks to modernize its decision-making processes opening the spectrum to the opinion of the scientific community, main beneficiary of the agency's policies.
