Advisory Commission on Cell Therapies and Regenerative Medicine
The Advisory Commission on Cell Therapies and Regenerative Medicine assists the Ministry of Science and Technology and Productive Innovation in matters relating to the regulation, promotion and dissemination of research and clinical therapies involving the use of stem cells. On the other hand, it works with the Incucai and the National Ministry of Health in the development of the legal framework governing stem cell research.
- Identify stem cell research areas in which it is necessary to create a regulation: basic and clinical research with adult stem cells and embryonic stem cells.
- Guide the Ministry in granting funds for research projects.
- Collaborate with other areas of the federal government and the general public that require expert opinion in this branch of science.
The Advisory Commission on Cell Therapies and Regenerative Medicine produces and disseminates documents to convey basic knowledge and recommendations concerning the use of stem cells for scientific and therapeutic research.
