Management Results 2013
The Ministry of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation presented its management report during 2013.
The following are some highlights of 2013: the launch of the National Science, Technology and Innovation Plan Argentina 2020, the presentation of the 1000th repatriated scientist in the framework of the RAICES Programme; the incorporation of 1,907 new doctoral and postdoctoral fellows within the Internal Scholarships Programme for the CONICET, reaching the number of 8,877 CONICET scholars; the approval of Act N° 26,899 on Open Access to Scientific Information.
Within the framework of the Work Plan for Science and Technology the construction of 7,125 m2 of infrastructure for science and technology was finished; the adequacy stage of the new headquarters of the National DNA Data Bank (BNDG) was completed; the construction of the administrative office of the Argentinean Nanotechnology Foundation (FAN) and the scaling center of NanoFab nanotechnology projects were finished. Through the National Agency for Science and Technology Promotion, resources to more than 2,300 new research projects were awarded, funding for 125 projects of productive innovation from the Federal Council for Science and Technology (COFECYT) were granted. The following are some of the highlighted dissemination actions: the CONICET’s Scientific Vocation Programme was created; the Ministry installed 22 spaces in Technopolis, fair visited by 4,400,000 people; the XI National Week of Science and Technology was performed with more than 1,000 activities around the country, a new edition of the Dale Aceptar contest was performed, with more than 9,000 participants.View the full report (pdf)
