University Doctors for Technology Transfer (D-TEC)

D-TEC is an instrument created by the National Agency for Science and Technology Promotion for funding projects oriented to support job placement of human resources with the highest qualification (doctors) in institutions and companies of the productive and service sectors aiming at solving technological problems and/or take opportunities for socio-economic development at local or regional level.

The purpose is to increase the volume of technological transfer from public universities to the regional environment where they are inserted. For such purpose, it will provide funds for the inclusion of such associations of highly-qualified professionals with a recent doctorate degree to start or enlarge and/or improve capacities for the production and transfer of knowledge and/or services oriented to eliminate technological barriers and/or take advantage of opportunities in the productive or social sector at a regional level with new technologies. Furthermore, our proposal is to raise awareness in public and private institutions, and in professionals who act in the productive environment and in research activities in areas of technological potential, about the importance and advantages deriving from the articulation of different players within the frame of an inclusive growth project based on the dynamic competitiveness.

Through this instrument funds will be provided for: Doctors (monthly scholarship equivalent to a post-doctorate scholarship in the CONICET); settling and transportation expenses (up to ARS 100,000 as moving expenses and relocation); expenses for the start-up and performance of a work plan for doctors (a minimum of ARS 300,000 and a maximum of ARS 1,200,000); and scholarships for trainee assistants (up to 2 assistants with a complete graduate degree).

D-TEC is targeted to National Public Universities with legal personality, legal and financial autonomy that submit projects for the insertion of doctors to achieve technological transfer.
