Regional Technological Innovation Fund (FTIR)

The Regional Technological Innovation Funds (FTIR) are the central instrument of Argentine Sector Fund (FONARSEC) to support the innovation generation and the capabilities to innovate which are critical to the development of sectors and targeted strategic socio-productive cores (NSPE).

The aim of the FTIRs is partially fund projects with the goal to promote the development of more efficient and sustainable technologies, methodologies and processes within the NSPE as defined in the “Argentina Innovadora 2020” Plan.

The subsidy will fund up to 80% of the total project cost, which is $ 50 million. The CAPP members shall provide as counterparty the remaining funds needed to implement the project.

The eligible beneficiaries are Public and Private Nonprofit Institutions (universities, centers and institutes devoted to technological research and development) with legal personality and/or National Private Companies producing goods and services, linked under a Private Public Consortium scheme.
