Ministry of Science – Novo Nordisk Prize to basic or clinical research on Diabetes
The Ministry of Science - Novo Nordisk Prize to basic or clinical research on Diabetes recognizes the efforts of Argentine scientists who have succeeded in performing high quality research works on diabetes, through an award to the institution to which the winning researcher belong.

The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, through the National Directorate of Foreign International, grants the Ministry of Science - Novo Nordisk prizes to basic or clinical research on Diabetes in order to encourage and enhance future research to combat this disease.

This is the first edition of the prizes and will distinguish the two best papers published and conducted by research groups that contribute to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of Diabetes in Argentina under two categories: basic research and clinical research. The call will be open from December 15, 2013 to March 6, 2014 inclusive.

Both papers will be selected by an ad-hoc Scientific Council according to the terms and conditions. Each winning work will be awarded the gross, maximum, total and final amount of $ 300,000.

Research teams must belong to a public institution and/or a nonprofit entity with domicile in Argentina. Works conducted jointly by multiple institutions are eligible to participate. Prize will be granted to the institutions to which the research groups belong.
