Bilateral Cooperation con France

The current cooperation activities between Argentina and France are:

MINCyT-ECOS Cooperation Programme

It aims to strengthen scientific cooperation and intensify relations between research centers and universities in both countries, through the submission of joint research projects that involve the exchange of scientists.

ARFITEC Programme

ARFITEC Programme comes after the Letter of Intent signed by Argentina and France on July 13, 2007. It promotes engineers training through partnership projects between higher education institutions in both countries.

MINCyT- INRIA-CNRS Cooperation Programme

It aims to promote the development of bilateral scientific collaboration on issues of information and communication technologies (ICT), between the INRIA-CNRS at the French side and Argentinean researchers. It also seeks to strengthen joint actions for doctoral and post-doctoral training, through the submission of joint research projects that involve the exchange of scientists.

STIC AmSud Regional Programme

It is an instrument of cooperation between France, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru and Uruguay, aimed at promoting and strengthening collaboration and creation of research and development networks, in the areas of information and communication sciences and technologies (ICST), through the development of joint projects.

MATH AmSud Regional Programme

It is an initiative of the French cooperation and its counterparts from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay, aimed at promoting and strengthening the collaboration and creation of research and development networks in the field of mathematics, through the development of joint projects.

Bernardo Houssay Programme

Is part of the agreement signed between the Ministry of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation of Argentina together with the CONICET, and the French Ministries of Higher Education and Research, and Foreign and European Affairs, represented by the French Embassy in Argentina.

Its purpose is to create and strengthen lasting partnerships between academic institutions or research organizations from Argentina and France, encouraging researchers stays in both countries to promote the exchange of scientific knowledge and research projects.

History of Scientific and Technological Cooperation with France

On October 3, 1964 the Cultural, Scientific and Technical Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Government of Argentina and the Government of the French Republic.
