Technological Managers for Project on public private Articulation Skills Concerning Biotechnology

The Managing Unit of the Support Program to the Development of Biotechnologies in Mercosur - BIOTECH II, together with Fundacion BIOMINAS, call for biotechnology professionals to participate in the "Promotion of Public-Private Matchmaking Skills specialized in Biotechnology, at each Mercosur country" project.

About the call

The project "Promotion of Public-Private Matchmaking Skills in Biotechnology in Mercosur" is a cooperation initiative between Mercosur and the European Union, within the Support Program for the Development of Biotechnologies in Mercosur - BIOTECH II. The project aims at creating a network of professionals trained on Biotechnology and suitable for the conduction of matchmaking practices among Industries, Academies and Research Centers with an approach on Biotechnology.

Professionals selected to participate in the project must complete a training process (online training and in-person workshop) and assessments. Those professionals with the highest marks will be chosen to participate in BiotecSur Network and in other actions of the BIOTECH II Program.

Those persons residing in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay will be allowed to participate in the call, provided that these have knowledge of Portuguese (in Brazil) and Spanish (in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay), and that they comply with the following pre-requisites:

  • Superior Studies: professionals with academic studies on the following areas: Biology, Biotechnology, Biomedicine, Pharmacy, Chemistry, Production Engineering, or studies related to the fields of agricultural, environmental, biological and biomedical sciences. Additionally, professionals working at Technology Liaison Units and Technology Transfer bodies.
  • Post-Graduate Studies: Professionals with, additionally to the above pre-requisites, a Doctorate or Master degree will be given preference. Experience in business management will be considered a plus and tiebreaker criteria.
