Call for the participation in the Structural Biology Workshop under the Associate Membership of Argentina to the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL)

The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, through its National Directorate of International Relations, called for the submission of applications for researchers in the life sciences to participate in the workshop of Structural Biology will dictate the European Laboratory Molecular biology ( EMBL ) on 16 and 17 March in the city of Rosario, province of Santa Fe, with support from the Institute of Molecular and Cellular biology of Rosario ( IBR).

About the call

The National Directorate of International Relations,  of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation will fund the transport and travel expenses of up tp 10 (TEN) researchers in the field of Life Sciences,  that do not reside in the city of Rosario, province of Santa Fe.

The workshop is targeted towards the entire community of researchers in structural biology working at Argentinian universities; research, development and innovation centres; and technology platforms. Moreover, the workshop will address questions regarding the use of structural biology facilities at EMBL and will provide an overview using specific examples how to tackle problems at different ranges of spatial resolution, connecting atomic structures and dynamic information obtained by X-ray crystallography and NMR with medium-range resolution from single particle electron microscopy, and cellular imaging obtained by electron tomography and light microscopy.
