Software applied to programming of Robots
Robot Group, a national company engaged in educational robotics since 2000 has been working for many years to develop a software platform to program robots easily and fast.

At world level, robotics has experienced a significant growth during recent years due to the incorporation of several productive sectors. Therefore, an area that is being highly focused has been programming of software for robots.
There are currently no standards and there is a high diversity of applications that hinder the application of fully integrated environments that standardize the functions required by software for robotics.
To compensate this deficiency, Robot Group carried out a project consisting in the development and improvement of free software (open source) environments whose main purpose was to make the use and programming of robots easier. Such software has a property that reduces complexities that a developer has to face for software solutions so that he/she has to focus only on the application and algorithms instead of complex tasks dependent on the hardware.
To make progress in the development of this software platform, Robot Group decided to apply one of the financial instruments called FONSOFT for Entepreneurs granted by the National Agency for Science and technology Promotion through its Trust Fund for the Promotion of the Software Industry (FONSOFT).
Through the financing obtained, the software environment produced by the company allowed the rapid design of robotic solutions in platforms highly distributed and based on microcontrollers.
In addition, it has the peculiarity that it may be used by any robot model developed by the company as well as by robots from other brands.
INNOVATION in ROBOTICS
In 2010, RobotGroup took part in a National Innovation Contest, INNOVAR 2010, organized by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation. The company was awarded a prize for its Multipile Constructive System in the category Innovative Product, for being a practical and dynamic educational software. This software may be used to design and build fully functional robots within an educational environment.
Multiplo is the result of the aggregation of four highly integrated subsystems: Software, electronics, mechanics, and documents. Together, they make a solid design and development environment that provides the tools required for building didactically from small moving robots with wheels to biped humanoid robots, as well as autonomous vehicles that can fly vertically, or even reconfigurable units.
